The Historic and Cultural Sites Commission was established in 2000 and the enabling legislation set forth the legislative intent, purpose, powers and membership of the Commission.

Members of the Commission are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the majority of City Council. There is currently one at large member vacancy and the Mayor and City Council are desirous of appointing Steve Kline representing the Fort Hill Cemetery Board for a three (3) year term commencing effective March 3, 2017 and terminating February 28, 2020.
